2019 Best Aussie Vans Competition
We are proud to announce the judges at the 2019 Best Aussie Vans chose our Piazza Series as the Most Innovative category Winner. We are extremely happy with winning and look forward to what 2020 holds.
Caravan World’s signature Best Aussie Vans event, presented by CZONE | BLA was held in October at one of Gippsland’s favourite holiday spots, Inverloch, providing an opportunity for participating vans to compete for the title of ‘Best Aussie Van’ within their respective categories.
This year, Caravan World assembled an expert judging team with years of industry experience, including Ron and Viv Moon, Malcolm Street, Matt Williams and the newly appointed Caravan World Editor-at-Large, John Ford. The judges poured over the caravans, assessing them against a set of criteria from towability to built quality to value for money.
In its seventh year running, Best Aussie Vans includes some of the industry’s most iconic brands and their latest vans competing under the umbrella of three categories: under $60K, $60K–$80K and $80k-plus. Best Aussie Vans is also one of the few occasions where manufacturers can network with industry peers, discuss common issues while putting their creations and products to the test — all while having some fun in a beautiful outdoor setting
JUDGES SCORES:
The judges mentioned, “The Royal Flair Piazza stunned our judges with its innovative, well, flair for creating inviting and communal spaces for the travelling tribe”.
Across all categories we were awarded a final judging score of 67.3/90 with stand out categories being X-Factor and Innovation!
THE WINNING FLOOR PLAN:
Royal Flair sent our Royal Flair Piazza 5.6m (18ft 6in) Ensuite Model, with an extra 4.5sqm of undercover living space, TV/DVD, lighting and speakers, as well as a 12V socket.
